Improve member retention - avoid logins

Over 500,000 Kiwis now renew their registration into sport every year without ever needing to login. Why is this important?

Because having to login is one of the biggest single headaches for players and parents. When people only perform an action once per year (like registering to participate in sport) many of them won't remember their username or password. Now their renewal becomes painful as they battle to reset their password or recover their username.

The 'magic link' method solves this. Sporty makes it easy for you to send a group email to a database of people, where each email includes a unique hyperlink URL 'magic link' for every recipient. When a person clicks the link in their email, it opens the registration/renewal web form automatically pre-filled with their own details. So they just correct anything new or changed and submit the form. No login required.

The system is smart enough to exclude people from your group email if they've already renewed. This way you can safely repeatedly invite last season's members to renew as the new season approaches (E.g. weekly), without spamming people who have already re-registered. And you can send it just to an individual recipient if you wish.

Importantly, Sporty also allows families to register more than one person using the same email address. This reflects real life where a parent might be registering multiple children under their own email.

Magic links from Sporty have now been extended to let you invite people to any form/database you want. For example, you could invite senior members to a coaching clinic or invite junior members to a holiday programme. The magic links will automatically open the form/database pre-filled with each person's details. This reduces friction and improves the user experience associated with renewal.
